Recruitment and Vetting

The most important part of our business is those Officers who work with us: this is a “people business”. Because of this, not only do we at Advantage One take great care through the whole recruitment process, but also through-out our Officer’s career with us.

We are currently working towards Investors In People and are guided by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) through BS 7499:2002 Code of Practice and BS 7858:2004 Recruitment and Vetting. This means you can rest assured that all Officers are checked vigorously before employment starts.

Vacancies:
On March 20th 2006, the SIA guidelines came into effect for all Security Officers, where you must now obtain a license before you can work in the industry. This involves attending a minimum of a four day training course, before completing an SIA application form.

How we recruit:

We recruit our Officers through many different ways, however all Officers are vetted for 10 years and are trained, excess to the SIA levels.

Vetting:
Do you really know who you are employing? Our HR team have been vetting Officers to BS 7858:2004 Recruitment and Vetting for a number of years.
Though no system if infallible, you can rest assured that our HR team are very vigorous and ensure the 10 year history check is completed, as per the British Standard.
